Repairing cracks in the toe

Follow these easy steps to repairing cracks in the toe of your bat:
(If your bat has crack on the edge of the toe you may need to use a combination of methods to clamp it up, please see repairing edge
& face method below)

1. Apply super glue to the crack making sure it flows right down into the crack.

2. Clamp up the crack using 2 pieces of wood and a G clamp.

3. Wipe away the excess glue and allow to dry, this should take about 30 minutes.

4. Sand the effected area down with some 100 - 220 grit sand paper.

5. Re-oil the area with some raw linseed.

Follow these easy steps to repair cracks in the face & edge of your bat: (If your bat has a stubborn crack that won’t close up, you may need to use a combination of methods to clamp it up, please see repairing toe method above.)

1. Chop up an old bat grip into 1-2 cm pieces, these will act as a clamp.

2. Apply super glue to the crack making sure it flows right down into the crack.

3. Pull the bat grip sections over the bat and around the effected area.
